To celebrate the re-release of the The Lavender Hill Mob (in cinemas on July 22nd and then on DVD/Blu-ray August 1st) Tally Ho! Cycle Tours along with British cinema expert Richard Dacre have designed three separate Central London bicycle tours around the most iconic filming locations from three classic Ealing comedies: The Lavender Hill Mob, Hue & Cry and Passport to Pimlico.
Atop a classic 1920's style British made bicycle, lucky cyclists will be able to enjoy a turn around some of London’s most recognisable landmarks, as well as some of it’s hidden wonders, whilst being treated to commentary from an experienced Tally Ho tour leader and British Cinema expert Richard Dacre. Each tour will concentrate on famous locations from the three films.
One feature tour a day will end in time for a screening of said Ealing classic at Vintage at Southbank Centre, Wayne Hemingway’s award-winning Festival celebrating 7 decades of British cool – either on the Cinema Bus (free), or at the BFI Southbank (book tickets here: LHB at BFI).
We will be located in the FREE area of the Vintage Festival (a Festival ticket is NOT required to take a bike tour!). Our location can be found on the map here. Bookings are essential. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour. Riders must be over 5ft tall to participate. Vintage attire thoroughly encouraged!
