Our tours use the safest and most scenic routes possible. We primarily ride on dedicated cycle paths or on quiet back streets. Occasionally we ride on cycle paths which run along side of regular road traffic. We appreciate that for some people the idea of cycling in London can be a daunting prospect so our guides make every effort to allay fears and build confidence. By the end of the ride we are certain that you will have a smile on your face and agree that a bicycle is the best way to get around London!
A bike is by far the best way to see London. London is a very flat city with lots of old narrow streets. Only by bicycle can you get to places easily and quickly. You can see more by bike in a few hours than you ever could on foot or by bus!
Whether you are a local or visitor to London, you’ll find riding with us easy and engaging. We have safely guided thousands of people of all ages and abilities (from 8 year olds through to 78 year olds!). Our routes are carefully designed to use the London cycle network, parks, and quiet back streets. Relax & roll with us.
Our standard daily tours are open to people aged 18+ who are competent cyclists and comfortable riding in bike lanes which sometimes run next to regular traffic. For families with children and teenagers under 18 years, we offer Private Bespoke Tours. Family tours are tailored specifically to the cycle ability and interests of the group. We have a range of bicycles (including a ‘tag-along’) to suit.
Our bike tours are very easy going with a focus on enjoying the ride as well as the places we stop at. Each of our tours are graded according to distance and route complexity to give you an idea of what is involved.
We go further to ensure your enjoyment of discovering London. Our group sizes are limited to 10 riders so that everyone can hear clearly and remains safe. We are the only bike tour company in London to use handbuilt traditional English bicycles… why ride anything else!?
The weather in London is generally much better than what many people believe. If, however, we do get caught in a shower we offer FREE rain ponchos to keep you dry.
All of our tours run rain or shine. Disposable rain ponchos can be purchased from our office for £1 each should you require one. If at the end of the tour the poncho has not been used, we will buy it back from you for £1.
In the event of adverse weather please call Tally Ho by 9am to check if the tour is still running. In the unlikely event that a tour is cancelled we will reschedule for another day.
The meeting point for all Bike Tours is The Walrus Bar & Hostel. Your guide will be waiting there with a Tally Ho bicycle. Please find directions here. Bike tours end back at The Walrus.

You are welcome to leave any unnecessary bags or items at our HQ whist out on tour.
It’s not the law in the UK to wear a helmet but we do have bike helmets available if you would like to wear one. Its entirely your own personal decision. Please let your guide know if you require a helmet.
